good grief

today, i read a book....two actually

this is a whole day late, so ignore the timestamp again.

this morning, i was woken up by my niece entering my room. i want expecting that, but i'm not surprised. she's very find of it—which i think is quite reasonable. i like to collect things, so my room has a lot of stuff to look at. and it's very colourful too~ she's always exploring in there.
she stayed to play for a little over an hour while i ate gelato.

when she left, i went back to my room to try and figure out building regulations for my property. i think i failed. i don't know why they make it so inconvenient. i'm trying to map out some plans for the backyard, but the city is making it incredibly difficult.

but, whatever

i eventually gave up after downloading, like, five pdf files. i had a good start to the day, and i was not trying to let confusing city ordinances ruin it, so, instead of continuing, i moved on to reading.

i read the first volume of demon slayer as part of a quest on pagebound. and, i didn't really care for it. admittedly, i've seen the first five or so episodes of season one, and then the mugen train movie back when it was out in theatres—years ago.

i actually looked it up, and it came to theatres in april of 2021, so it's actually been about three weeks short of five whole years ago.

but i remember quite liking those few episodes and the movie, so the first book was quite a disappointment—especially the pacing. [it was not done well at all.]

after that, i ate subway, then went out to get a cherry lime fresca from panera. which, if you like cherry and lime, is bangin'. however, i don't like either....and it was still bangin'. cherry–lime is just a good flavor combination, i think. you know?
i also got a water from panera, which is important, because panera has good water—unlike wendy's.

anyway, i got home and decided to reread a book from my childhood, which was honestly a great decision. i really enjoyed it. and i'm quite excited to read other stories from that series of books.
i have vague memories of most of them, but as i read, i start to remember more, but like, in vibe form. [i don't know how to explain that; that's going to have to be a different post. idk.]

anyway,

that's all. that was my day. i had actually only set my yearly reading goal to two books, but since i read two today, i moved it up by one. whoo. i'll probably move it up by one each time i finish one, just for fun.

until next time~
